Wash Bay Design
The client was motivated to invest in a manual wash facility to provide their business with a high volume, compliant wash bay to aid in the general fleet presentation of their fleet but also pre- maintenance wash down of their vast drilling fleet. The scope of works was to provide a holistic approach to a design and construct package whilst not impacting the client’s day to day operation and eliminate risk associated with the investment.
WHAT WE DID:
SITE INSPECTION & CLIENT DISCUSSION: A senior project designer met with the client to get a firsthand understanding of the requirements of the client.
COUNCIL & WATER AUTHORITY MEETING: The same senior project designer met with the local council representative to best understand the demands placed on the client, the property and local environment.
HYDRAULIC DESIGN: Design package to outline the method of interface between existing trade waste, potable water and storm water onsite.
CIVIL & STRUCTURAL DESIGN: Design package of bulk earthworks and concrete structure to meet the load demands of the drilling fleet.
SUBCONTRACTOR KICK OFF MEETING: Site meeting with all subcontractors to prepare schedule and delegate responsibilities and outline performance expectations.
PROCUREMENT PACKAGE: Negotiation and supply of all material for the project.
CLIENT RESPONSE: Mannion Drilling were pleased to have a solution that took then from an idea to a fully approved and costed design. The next phase, construction, again engaging Speedywash Australia to see this through to completion.
